MyRecon does not require registration and does not collect names, passwords, or payment details.
Your searches
Search targets are sent to the MyRecon API only to perform the lookup you request. We do not persist your search queries or results to a database. Results may be held in a short-lived in-memory cache (typically a few minutes) purely to accelerate repeated lookups, after which they expire automatically.
Search history
Your recent-lookup history is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time from the tool.
Third-party sources
To answer a lookup, the API queries public data providers (for example RDAP registries, public DNS resolvers, breach databases, and platform pages). Those providers receive the specific target you queried as part of the request.
